DWARF ESSEX RAPE SEED
Dwarf Essex rape seed is generally used for wildlife plots for fall and winter feeding, or as green fodder for livestock. Rape can also be over seeded in existing spring and summer food plots as they begin to decline in the early fall. Forage produced can contain 18-20% crude protein. Good cold tolerance make harvesting or grazing late into the fall and winter an option.
Rape seed is also prized as a cover crop as it inhibits weed growth and traps nitrogen in the soil.
